Plants That Grow In Water
If you have a house that is near a water body, or you have a little pond in your backyard, then the best way to elevate its appearance is by adding water plants. That’s right! Why should only the land part of your backyard be full of flowers? This brief blog tells you about the best water plants that you can add to your house to enhance its appeal.
African Violets
African violets, or scientifically, Saintpaulia ionantha, are usually propagated by growing their leaves in water, which is a good way to clone the parent plant. On the downside, some multicolored violets will produce solid colored flowers.
Baby’s tears
Baby's tears or Soleirolia soleirolii plants generate countless minuscule leaves on the climbing plants with a dense but still delicate trailing mat, which makes it a wonderful water plant. Remove a bunch of stems, whether they have roots or not, and see how well this plant conforms to living in water.
Begonia
The thick, juicy, and fleshy stems of Begonia (Begonia spp.) are quite forgiving during the stem cutting process for water propagation. Start with the very tough wax begonias, which develop very knobby leaf nodes that root easily.
Coleus
With the arrival of new coleus (Plectranthus scutellarioides) varieties each spring, it becomes simpler to plan and create a whole garden around the colorful tropical plant leaves.
