Supporting him are Margaret Qualley as Mia Sutton, Keith Stanfield as the enigmatic detective “L,” Paul Nakauchi as Watari, and Shea Whigham in the role of James Turner.

The production team features prominent names such as Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Jason Hoffs, and Masi Oka, all bringing their extensive experience from acclaimed projects like The Ring, The Lego Movie, and Heroes Reborn. Their collective efforts aim to stay true to the manga’s core themes while delivering a fresh cinematic experience.
