Without getting proper guidance and support, it is hard to pass this exam with a high score.

Here is the daily routine that toppers follow during the government exam preparation.

Wake up early

Toppers usually start their day early; they wake up between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. This time of morning is quite peaceful and free from distractions, so they can focus better on preparation at this time. Before starting the study session, they prefer to do light exercise, meditation, or stretching. Physical exercise will help aspirants to stay energetic throughout the day. Apart from this, they also help aspirants to stay calm and concentrated during preparation.

Morning study session

During the morning study session, candidates should prefer to learn new topics or revise the topics they find difficult. This time, their mind are fresh, which easily grasps and understands difficult topics.  So, students should prefer to spend morning hours on difficult subjects, like Mathematics, Reasoning, or core theoretical concepts. This study session must last 2-3 hours with short breaks to stay focused and attentive.

Short break for breakfast

After the morning study session, candidates should take a break. During a break, they have to eat a healthy breakfast that provides the mind and body needed energy.  Proper nutrition maintains the energy level throughout the day. During the break, candidates should avoid using social media as it drains their energy. Instead, they should relax their mind with some activities, like walking and yoga.

Midday study session

At midday, toppers usually start their second study session, which usually focuses on practice and revision.  During this study session, they start solving questions topic-wise, previous year exam papers, and mock tests. They analyse their previous mock test results and focus on improving their mistakes. This will not only help them remember the concept for long hours but also enhance their speed and accuracy. Regular revision helps in understanding and ensures that they easily recall the concept during the exam.

They continue this study session for 2-3 hours with a 5-10-minute break. After this, they have to take a lunch and must walk to digest it. They can also take a power nap, as it helps to prevent mental fatigue and maintain productivity.

Evening study and current affairs

Toppers' evening study session is usually lighter as they focus on current affairs, general awareness, and reading the newspaper. They also go through the short notes they make, revise formulas, or important dates and events.  Some also prefer to go for an evening walk to refresh the mind and body.

Dinner and relaxation

After taking dinner, toppers prefer to relax their mind for some time. To get peace of mind, they spend time with family, listen to music, or read an easy and short topic. Maintaining balance between study and relaxation helps them to stay focused during study sessions.

Before going to bed, they revise all the topics prepared throughout the day and also make a schedule for their next day. They usually take 7-8 sound sleep to stay mentally and physically fit. Taking proper sleep will help them stay energetic throughout the day.

Consistency is the key

One of the most important factors behind a candidate's success in a government exam is consistency. They follow the same daily routine during preparation and are consistent with practice. Even 6–8 hours of focused and disciplined study every day can produce excellent results when followed regularly.
